Wilfried Irambona

Dr. Wilfried Irambona is a medical doctor and public health professional from Burundi, dedicated to strengthening primary healthcare systems and expanding equitable access for underserved rural communities. He has extensive experience leading integrated community health programs and implementing digital health solutions for Community Health Workers (CHWs) in partnership with international organizations.

At CGHI, Wilfried applies his expertise in data systems and AI-enabled tools to drive innovations that improve health system performance in resource-constrained settings. His leadership is shaped by contributions to national health policy, including Burundi's Community Health Strategy 2025–2029, focusing on digitalization, service packages, and sustainable financing.

A committed health advocate and digital communicator, Wilfried bridges complex health policy with community-level impact. His work emphasizes the transformative power of technology in creating resilient, inclusive healthcare delivery models. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Burundi.
