Pratik Kiju

Pratik Kiju is a veterinarian and infectious disease scholar from Nepal, dedicated to strengthening global responses to emerging health threats. His work centers on the "One Health" approach—addressing the complex interconnections between wildlife, human populations, and the environment to combat zoonotic diseases and advance genomic research.
At CGHI, Pratik leverages his foundation in wildlife and ecological research to drive interdisciplinary collaboration and research innovation. He focuses on building integrated frameworks that allow for more resilient health systems, ensuring that environmental and animal health are recognized as core pillars of global health security.
With a commitment to evidence-based policy, Pratik has worked to translate high-level genomic data and ecological research into actionable strategies for infectious disease prevention and management on a global scale, particularly in his master's studies.
Pratik recently graduated from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Infectious Diseases and One Health, a collaborative program across Europe. He also holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
